The NYC Highline + extra

We continued our first day in NYC with the Highline, one of the newest major tourists attractions of the city. If you against all odds have never heard of it before - it's basically an old railroad that has been made into a park, a strip above the ground stretching from W34th to around W12th street.

a
Again, this is a perfect place for people spotting. Although there is plenty of people passing by all the time, the highline still manages to be a quite peaceful place, full of artists, people reading or even taking their afternoon nap (I mean, why not?!).
And then it also includes some nice street art throughout.

Another very nice thing about this place is that (surprise, surprise) it is full of cool plants (ok, it's called a park but I just had to point it out).

... and another perspective of the manhattan streets, not too far up.

Did I mention art? This is what we met as we walked down from the end of the highline, in the meat packing district.
We had some well deserved coffe at this place.

And then we walked towards union square, passing some cool stuff as well, which you do in new york.
